Ragging is a punishable offense. Ragging means any act, conduct, or practice by which the dominant power of senior students is brought to bear on the freshly enrolled or in any way considered junior by other students which involves physical or psychological assault or threat to other students or use of force of violation of dignity and honor of such student or expose students to ridicule and affect their self-esteem or entail verbal abuse, aggregation, indecent gesture, and obscene behavior.
Anti-Ragging Committee will be the Supervisory and Advisory Committee in preserving a culture of a Ragging Free environment on the college campus. The Anti-Ragging squad-office bearers will work under the Supervision of Anti-Ragging Committee and engage in the works of checking places like hostels, buses, canteens, classrooms, and other places of student congregation. Anti-Ragging Committee will be involved in designing strategies and action plans for curbing the Menace of Ragging in the college by adopting an array of activities.
Depending on the nature and gravity of the offense as established by the Anti-Ragging Committee of the College, those found guilty of ragging shall be liable for any one or more of the following punishment including legal action. The decision of the Anti-Ragging Committee shall be final and binding.
